Building Team Leadership
"...I really enjoyed the retreat and have learned so much in just two short days. What sticks the most with me is the importance of learning from everyone we meet. Listen..."
"You don't have to have a title to be a leader."
"It was scary to me. Doing the [team-building] activities was very outside my comfort zone but very worthwhile. I also loved hearing everyone's personal stories."
"Do I do enough for my community? How can I lead better? I'm excited and plan to get more involved."
"Different communication styles are necessary to connect different ideas - storytelling vs. presenting."
"I am going to try and be more positive and take that into my home and work environments. What I have picked up in SCIL in the last two days will help me change the way I look at things."
" I would like to implement some of Rocco's [team-building] trainings in our staff meetings. I am broadening my knowledge of our county and of people in general."
